Located in Guilford, Connecticut the farm was established in 2008 to Kimberly Brockett. Micheal Cappelli, and their son Drew Cappelli. When drew started to develop an interest in horses as a child, they began to look into expanding their small farm. It wasn't until Kim brought home a children's book from the library on disappearing breeds of domestic animal: where they stumbled upon mammoth donkeys. Having never heard of them before the family researched any and all information on mammoths. Their love for donkeys expanded by every piece of information they read. They decided that Mammoth donkeys would be the perfect addition to their farm where they will stay and live out their lives as part of the family.
Upon learning more information about mammoth donkeys, it was easy to see how unaware people are about these beautiful animals. It became our purpose to educate and inform other about the situation that mammoth donkeys face as an endangered breed. The goal is the same - whether it be a child coming home to tell their tale of meeting mammoth donkeys at school or a demonstration at Cornell College- people are learning about mammoth donkeys and spread that knowledge to others.
